Our Staff
Michelle -
Michelle Wilkerson has always been an avid animal lover. She's been working with rescue organizations for over 20 years and decided to put her life's passion to work by founding Wags and Whiskers Pet Sitting in 2008. Her tireless devotion to caring for animals has taken Wags and Whiskers from a one-woman enterprise to a leading pet care provider in Little Rock in just five short years. Her work ethic is fueled by pride in her business and passion for her customers' pets:
"I honestly look forward to seeing all my clients each time I visit! My goal is to ensure that your pets receive the best care possible, so my pet sitters are caring and dedicated animal lovers whom I have trained to be the BEST at caring for your home and your pets!"
Jeff -
Although Jeff grew up with dogs as a child, his true introduction to a life revolving around animals was when he married the animal-rescuing Michelle and together they purchased land in the country. For the last 15 years, Jeff has tirelessly assisted Michelle with the care of countless dogs and cats suffering from neglect and abuse. His gentle spirit and calm energy has helped many animals on their path to healing and re-homing! Jeff patiently shares his home with 10 dogs, so he has plenty of experience with all types of animal personalities!
Ginger -
Ginger is a true "mom" in every sense of the word. Married for over 23 years, she has two human children (ages 16 and 12) and two furry kids, Oliver, an 8 year old Bichon, and Oscar, a 4 year old rescue terrier mix. Because of her own small pups, Ginger has a soft spot for the "little ones," and her love for her own animals makes her particularly sensitive to the worry of leaving a pet at home. Ginger understands how important it can be to have a familiar face checking in your pets when you can't be there. In her free time, Ginger enjoys cooking, reading, exercising, and volunteering at Easter Seals.
Stacey -
Stacey Doll lives for animals! She has such a passion for pets that she volunteers at the Humane Society of Pulaski County nearly every day of the week! In addition to a great husband and children, Stacey has two fur-kids of her own, Cupid (a former foster from HSPC) and Sophie. Stacey's love of animals comes through in the excellent care that she provides to our clients' furry loved ones: "I look forward to visiting all of our furry little friends!"
Sherry -
Sherry looks forward to pet sitting in the afternoons when she can relax and enjoy the company of her furry charges. Because she is so detail-oriented, clients can always count on Sherry to keep their pets on a familiar schedule. She has proven to be a loving, careful, attentive, and organized sitter.

She has been with Wags and Whiskers almost since its inception, and she promises to care for your pets and give them the same love and attention she does her own.
Barb - Private In-Home Pet Boarding
Barb is one of our in-home pet sitters, so she will welcome your pet to her home and "spoil them rotten," as she says! An author and photographer, Barb is also a case manager for Last Chance for Arkansas (a non-profit animal rescue that works with Little Rock Animal Village). Barb is very creative and loves spending time on do-it-yourself projects and gardening. Barb especially loves to work and play around her own home, so you can be sure that when your pet is on "vacation" at Barb's, they will get plenty of personal attention. Barb has two beloved dogs, Rosy and Sully.
Ann -
Ann is an Arkansas native who takes every opportunity to enjoy this beautiful state with her two dogs, Nazie (15) and Morgan (11). A caretaker to the heart, Mary Lauren has been a teacher for 10 years and currently works for the North Little Rock school district. Mary Lauren has two dogs of her own, Clark (Golden Retriever) and Murphy (Maltese mix), so she is comfortable around pets of all shapes, sizes, and energy levels!
Carrie - Private In-Home Boarding
If you can only know one thing about Carrie, it's that she loves animals! Carrie is a clinical social worker who grew up with dogs and can't imagine life without a fur baby. PJ says that she can't imagine life without dogs: "their welcoming eyes, wagging tails, and unconditional love" make life worth living, she says. PJ has worked with rescue groups by fostering dogs in need until they can find permanent, loving homes. She currently has two dogs: River (lab mix) and Lucas (Australian/Golden mix). While they are rescue dogs, PJ says, "I feel they have actually rescued me!"
Carolyn -
Carolyn grew up on a farm in Little Rock, so being around and loving animals has always been a part of her: "we had horses, cattle, chickens, pigs...well, you get the point," she says. Carolyn's passion for animals has never waned - she currently has two dogs and three cats, and they all sleep in the bed with her! Carolyn has also fostered pets while they look for forever homes. She enjoys the outdoors and loves being athletic and active with her own pets and with the pets in her care.
